Tina began her life as a Purchasing Graduate at Thorn EMI nearly 30 years ago. She was one of the first to get involved globally in the area of Marketing Procurement. Her achievements include setting up and running the Marketing Procurement teams for BT Cellnet (now O2), Smithkline Beecham (now GSK/Haleon) and Orange/France Telecom on both a UK and Global basis. Tina gained experience in buying the whole range of marketing services from creative, media through to promotional drinks bottles and Formula One sponsorship. Her final role before jumping ship to work agency side was as Global Head of Marketing Procurement for France Telecom Group, where she lead the development of the new team, developing the organisational structure and developing the category strategy whilst engaging with senior stakeholders, Tina was headhunted by an advertising agency Grey London in 2003 and joined them as Commercial Director, becoming the first procurement person to work on the supplier side. She strategically managing Grey’s total cost base, overseeing all external expenditure and the house management team. She worked alongside the agency teams to negotiate client contracts and fees, and became the key agency contact for client procurement teams. In early 2005, Tina was headhunted by another advertising agency - Lowe London, joining them in the same role she had fulfilled at Grey. It was an interesting and unique experience to work on the other side of the marketing procurement fence with 2 London advertising agencies. In 2006 she set up Tina Fegent Consulting to offer a marketing procurement consultancy service to clients. Clients have ranged across many sectors from retail, financial, insurance, FMCG and energy. She works with them at a strategic level to develop their marketing procurement strategy and structure, provide mentorship and works with CMO’s on their marketing requirements as well as running and managing agency search and selection processes. She has chaired the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Specialist Knowledge Group on Marketing Procurement since its inception in 2006, and is a Fellow of CIPS and was awarded a certificate by CIPS for her support of the Marketing Procurement category. Tina is a pro bono Co-Chair of the Get Sh*t Done Advisory Group for the Conscious Advertising Network (CAN); a NED for a Social Agency and a mentor on the Creative Equals Business programme.
