Michael Craig

As a graduate of Florida A&M University, Michael spent the first eight years of his career as an Electrical Engineer and Technical Project Manager for Procter and Gamble and Unilever. Wanting to combine his curiosity for consumer behavior with his passion for culture, music and sports, he decided to attend Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia to focus on Marketing, He joined PepsiCo in 2011 and held several roles within the marketing organization including Global Marketing Manager for Cheetos/Doritos, Marketing Manager of Strategy for Pepsi’s brand extensions into fashion, movies and television, and Marketing Communications Lead for Mountain Dew creative, culture and sports, including NBA, Action Sports and NASCAR. In 2018 he was asked to lead the creative efforts for the launch for bubly Sparkling Water which culminated in 2019 with bubly’s first Super Bowl commercial. In April of 2019, Michael joined Harman International as Global Director, Marketing Communications where he oversaw creative development for JBL and Harman Kardon including JBL Quantum, JBL’s first gaming headset. In 2020, he was promoted to Senior Director, Global Brand Marketing and now oversees brand communications strategy, global creative development and the JBL Quantum gaming platform. Michael has received numerous awards and recognitions including being selected to the Adweek Executive Mentoring Program in 2020 and being named one of Internationalist Next 50, a group of globally minded talent that is reinventing marketing for tomorrow. In his spare time, Michael enjoys embellishing his LinkedIn profile, critiquing TED talks and discussing this mythical concept of “spare time” over bourbon-soaked ice cubes. He currently lives in Silver Spring, Maryland with his wife, Whitney and their 4-year-old daughter, Sloan.
